Paradox
By separate rules we evaluate life,
In shades of gray we measure strife.
Black and white is what we seek –
But viewed outside it’s rare we meet.
Paradoxes around us spin
Leading away from Truth within.
Conflicts outside we’re sure to find,
They’re partial facts that leave us blind.
“You did that, I know it’s so!”
But do you then, my motives know?
Separate facts spread far away.
Chasing them, wastes our day.
The farther away from Source you go –
It’s touch and go for Truth to know.
By paradox though, Truth can be found
If choices made are wise and sound.
In Silence deep, beyond compare
The Greatest Truth echoes there.
Inside the Soul’s Silent Reach,
Our Father waits, there to teach.
No conflict here, with this Inner Sound,
Then Truth outside can be found.
So rest assured, and have no doubt,
Truth’s within, not without.

Tenderness II
My Earliest Memory is of Illness,
A hospital room dark and grim.
Nurse’s with long faces,
Answering only questions never asked.
Submissions to non-healing
Growing Shadows ever darker,
Technical wisdom denying
Even my mother’s Sweet embrace.
Only the wall by my bed
Reached to touch me.
Why would I Stay here,
This place of such Misery?
The wall beckoned:
Let go…Leave here!
Mother’s love could not have it,
Technician’s be damned!
In fever and chills
Her arms embraced me,
And from the wall
I Turned away.
